Fix-It Board / Water / Medfield, MA
Medfield is currently under Tier 3 drought-triggered water restrictions per the town's posted rules: nonessential outdoor water use is limited to once per week (even-numbered addresses Mondays, odd-numbered Thursdays, and only between 5pm and 9am the next morning), with irrigation systems and vehicle washing prohibited. This is not a one-off. Town bylaw requires Medfield to declare a water conservation state every year from the first Monday in June through at least the second Monday of September, and recent summers have repeatedly escalated from every-other-day Tier 2 to once-a-week Tier 3. The restrictions may well be necessary. But they point at the underlying question this board exists to ask: what is the long-term plan for supply and capacity? Residents planning their summers around a single watering day deserve a clear picture of where the constraint actually is (source wells, treatment, storage, leakage) and what investments would relieve it. Compiled by the AnyoneNews desk from the town's posted Water Conservation Restrictions page and resident accounts. We have asked the town for a response and will publish it in full.
What moves a report
Neighbors backing it (“I see it too”), a photo, and specifics. Then take it to the people who can fix it — your town’s DPW request line and the budget meeting. The primer explains how.
